It started out in early 1999 when a small group of twenty odd people from different backgrounds began meeting at the house of Pastors Ashish & Rekha Thomas every week for a time of prayer & fellowship. Soon, in June of the same year, Pastors Ashish & Rekha Thomas were led by God to build an army for the glory of his kingdom. Without flinching, and in love and obedience they reached out, took God at His word, and in faith, launched out, into the unknown. Thus, The Dubai City Church, UAE was born. Depending on God at every stage of their walk, Pastors Ashish & Rekha Thomas slowly began shepherding the church. It has now grown to services in Dubai and Abu Dhabi as well as for the Russian congregation in the UAE. Collectively the regular members members have grown to over seven hundred and in the year 2007, the Firm Foundation Ministries Worldwide also launched out into Sydney Australia with the Sydney City Church. The Firm Foundation Ministry Worldwide also has under its umbrella the School of Ministry which was launched in September 2000. This ministry is the mainstay on which God's army is being built. It imparts fundamental principles, sound bible doctrines and is developing young leaders to serve in God's kingdom.
