About Christian Self Help christian self help imageI'm Len, and I built this website to help busy people with competing and often conflicting demands get control of their lives and find their own solutions to a simpler life. This website is for christian and non-christians who need support to get through those transition periods in their lives and need that extra push to make their dreams and ideas become tangible realities no matter how big or small they may be. For 22 years as a pastor, mentor, trainer and social worker I have helped people identify their potential, achieve their goals, re-order their inner life and radically transform their lives. I have knack of getting to the root and moving people towards their vision. I believe God + one willing individual equals a majority. All I do is re-connect people to the will and purposes of God and they quickly learn with God all things are possible. My personal faith in Jesus Christ is the most important feature of my life. He is the cause of all my joy. His unconditional love for me motivates me. That is why I give time to others. It is my relationship with God that is responsible for my desire to pour a little of my life into those who need a companion at the cross road of life. My wife and I currently have day jobs and two children (if you can call a 17 and a 21 year old children) and like many people we have found family life exciting and challenging. We have learned so much about ourselves, the importance of vision and goal setting and putting our faith at the centre of everything. Sorry, I was talking about our day jobs. I work in the voluntary sector as a community development worker helping young people access substance misuse and mental health services and my wife works for the government (can't say no more than that, if I do I would have to kill you!) And if raising a family and working full time is not enough we started and lead a new church congregation in the UK and to make sure we are not left without anything to do we run a training consultancy specialising in social care and health and personal development. Recently, with the help of God I developed the mentoring programme for one of the largest youth offending team in the Midlands and greatly increased the level of social involvement and attendance in a previous church by working with people and releasing their potential. Just a few month ago, I coached a married couple-from inception to realisation- accomplish their dream to organise a gospel concert, perform, and produce an album-soon to be released. I have Advanced Christian counselling qualifications, a Diploma in Theology (Distinction), Certificate in Mentoring Co-ordination, Certification in Training and qualified Race and Cultural Capability trainer. Our training consultancy company, Semeion Enterprise Ltd provides training to a range of clients in fieldwork, day care and residential settings. All our trainers are practising community or social work practitioners bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
