A new year begins: Twelve months ahead to achieve those personal and professional goals we all hope to reach. Actually Home Magazine intends to continue working with identical enthusiasm and level of exigency. Only this way we will be able to create an elegant and sophisticated magazine which provides room for the best interior companies and designers. This is a young, enthusiastic and consolidated team. Actually Home Magazine starts 2008 with lots of ideas and new sections. As a foretaste, let me introduce you "Public Space", a section in which you will be able to enjoy decoration from a different perspective, through commercial projects with their own character and style. I want to show my gratitude to our collaborators and advertisers for the confidence they have placed in us and, of course thank you very much for your loyalty. Together, we make it possible that Actually Home Magazine can be a different magazine. May your dreams also come true... Laura Soto Editor Italian charm Observing the homogeneity of his house we can not doubt the words of Architect James Cavagnari when telling us about his tastes choosing the details. Cavagnari chooses “the walls with texture, tough and rough materials” and he decorates the house “with antiques from his trips, for achieving a good atmosphere”. We can add to this well built and bright house the materials such as the wood for timbers and furniture, whose shade fits the floor, the reed pergola or the decorative objects. His favourite place is the flowerbed, where he likes “to relax and to be lost in thought, feeling the north wind and observing the horizon showed between the sky and the sea”. The Architect has a predilection for the shops where he can find “antiques, but having a modern design”. It is this mixture that we can find in his sicilian house. It is a mediterranean villa with character and very natural details that make possible a home full of warm and a handicraft charm. Text by Aurora Rocío Pacheco Translation by Roberto Fernandez
